Patience!

Patience is another life lesson that serves well in Accounting UIL. I’ve had to be very patient with myself over the last few months, as life intervened and interrupted my plans to have a beautiful smorgasbord of accounting delectables available to coaches and students. Now that a vehicle for transporting those resources is up and basically working, I”m impatient to get so many things to you. I’m nearly finished with a series of three PowerPoints that detail a single business’s accounting activities through an entire accounting cycle. The first prez will start with journalizing and posting, using T-accounts for the transactions, all the way through to a Trial Balance. The second will continue with the Worksheet and Financial Statements, and the third will wrap up the accounting cycle with Adjusting and Closing entries and a Post-Closing Trial Balance. These first PP presentations will not be narrated, but I’ll try to do that addition as soon as I can. I realize District is in early April; hopefully, these will be of help to tie the whole picture together for novice coaches and teams. Meanwhile, I appreciate your patience!

Blessings!
