The Concept of “Rocks”
After my retirement, I had to employ a different method of coaching my students, since I didn’t see them every day. Having gone through many years earlier and combined similar UIL test problems (chunks) into Word documents, I would teach a particular topic then have them practice with the chunks I had assembled. During my last year of coaching, several incidents led to my all-girls team claiming “Accounting Girls Rock.” We had so much fun with it that I decided to claim the name accountingrocks.net for my website. The meaning is fun, and to me and my former teams, accounting does rock! So those concepts, or chunks, may now be called ‘ROCKS’
